Don't include any summary or total information in the range. You will create the best charts when you work with raw data. You can select any headings, however.<br /><br />Click on the Chart Wizard tool to start the Chart Wizard. This displays the Chart Wizard dialogue box, where you are asked to select a chart type.<br /><br />Select any of the 14 types shown in the Chart Type list. (You can always make changes later.) When you select a type, the information in the Chart Sub-type area of the dialogue box is changed.<br />Click on one of the Chart Sub-types shown at the right side of the dialogue box.<br />Click on Next. Excel proceeds to the second step of the Chart Wizard, where your information is first presented as a chart.<br /><br />Make any necessary changes to the data range depicted in the dialogue box, then click on Next. Excel displays the third step of the Chart Wizard.<br /><br />Using the controls in the dialogue box, indicate the title, labels, and other formatting you want used for your chart. As you make changes, notice that the sample chart is updated to reflect your changes.<br />When you are happy with your formatting settings, click on the Next button. Excel displays the final step of the Chart Wizard. Here you select whether you want your chart embedded in your worksheet or to appear on its own, as a chart sheet.<br /><br />Click on Finish. Your chart is created as directed by you.<br />You should note that these are general steps for using the Chart Wizard. It is possible that the steps may be modified a bit depending on the type of chart you choose to create.<br /><br /><br />For some reasons deleting a Chart is what will bother some users, well am also going to show you how to delete a chart..<br /><br />Excel allows it users to create various patterns of chart based on the data available in the present worksheet. Most of the times, these created charts can be on their independent worksheet, other times they may be under other sheets, hence embedded under those sheets. So weather the chart is embedded or is independent, deleting such charts are always done in the same way, all you need to do is to first of all know the chart to be deleted and later click on the chart.. MICROSOFT WORD - CHANGING THE COLOUR OF HYPERLINKS

To determine a hyperlink simply type an email address in word and give a space you will notice that text changing from its original colour (usually black) to blue.. I have wondered if changing this annoying blue colour can be possible, i wanna use my colour black as my hyperlink.. (the circled part of the image), under that menu we have style set, colour and font, select colour and click on a desired colour and your hyperlink colour is changed....<br /><br />In the case of the modifying aspect simply Highlight the hyperlink , click on Font , Under then click on Font Colour, choose the colour you would like to apply to it but if you prefer blue its not a sin to leave it the way it was. WINDOWS - CHANGING THE SCREEN RESOLUTION

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">It may be that you have just installed anew window in your computer, say windows 7 and at first what you notice is that the icons are somewhat big and the screen resolution is either too big or too small, this post will show you how to adjust it and make sure it suits you..<br /><br />Well, as i will always say, firsts things first, what you need to do is to open the Personalisation dialogue box by Clicking on the Start button, Click on Control Panel, Double-click on Personalisation and then click on the Display Settings option, change-screen-resolution (vista).. Now in the resolution aspect, you notice at the end of the figure you see recommended in a bracket.. But in some cases, after installing a new windows, maybe before the old windows was removed the drivers were not extracted, and so after the windows was renewed, there is no longer a recommended resolution fit for display for that computer at that time. what the user can do is to get a software popularly known as DRIVER PACK so as to restore that missing driver back to that computer.. Please always select expert mode while searching for drivers. Apart from that the highest resolution a user can select totally depends on the Computer's video card and the computer's displays graphical abilities. The higher the resolution you select the more appealing the display would be and so if you wanna have a better resolution in windows 7, you have to take it to the head, top and there you get your desired display... EASY WAYS TO SPEED UP YOUR PC

Sometimes we may be victims of a slow computer. but how may we know that this is what we are passing through. There are some easy ways to find out, it may be that the computer's speed of opening programs has reduced drastically, or while gaming our running large programs our computers tends to hang, the processing speed of our computer is reduced even when running lower software's and problems, or alerts of errors at one time or the other, Well I can say at this stage you can try to tackle the problem rather than calling a computer engineer right away, there are some little tips am gonna give to you on what to do should this occur to you.<br /><br />The windows in your computer runs smoothly using the hard disk, the RAM and a little bit of ROM. The software is big because it has lots of files and folders with it and all these join forces together in order for our computer to be healthy.. I can boldly tell you that there are some factors associated to the slowness of our computers, sometimes the configuration of a computer the add to the slowness or the high speed, HOW SO ? Depending on the size of the RAM, the processor speed and the hard disk size, if you have a 4gb ram and a 2ghz processor speed with a hard disk of 5oogb and your computer is still slow then something is wrong somewhere, because that is a good configuration.<br />And so, if you have such configuration and your experiencing slowness in your computer, there are some easy steps to follow before deciding to call on an engineer..<br /><br />Why not try a restart?<br />This can be very beneficial, restarting the computer at that time may help to restore the speed, by stopping running programs and also logging off other users that may be contributing to the reduction of the computer speed, right ? Another thing to do is to Check your computer via the notifications area on the task bar to see which programs are running in the background. A More proper check can be carried out by visiting the task bar and seeing the running programs and that ones adding pressure to the processor.. You can visit the task bar by pressing CONTROL+ALTERNATE KEY+DELETE<br /><br /><br /><br />ADDING TO YOUR EXISTING RAM SIZE.<br />A footnote for Consideration is adding the size of your Random Access Memory bank. This is because when your computer has  high RAM size it will assist the processor, which does all that dirty jobs. And so by means of assisting the processor, the processor does lesser jobs and this adds to the speed of the computer system.<br /><br />Also as much as possible to remove all the files in your Recycle bin, this may add to the speed of your computer as well. There are what we refer to as Temporary files, These are files created by the computer as its programs are running. These may includes downloads that you i may open directly and others are recovery backups by some programs, files that are crucial to the running of programs. In this case, the restarting can help because most of this files are hidden from the eyes, and so while restarting the are all closed along the line.<br /><br />The part i love most, applying the Command prompt for Fragmentation. why don't Schedule your disk defragmenter to do defragmentation tasks for you? Its worth the try you know,  It will help your computer by making the files very easy to access in whole instead of being accessed in bits and pieces. After opening your command prompt, type in ‘defrag D:’ to defrag local disk D: or other choices as desired by you..<br /><br />Dust. Applying images that supports your message are highly recommended as this will enhance your readers to want to watch longer. Leave the Hard Drive Flat<br /><br />If your hard drive is a magnetic external hard drive then you should always allow it to lay flat since it was produced to be that way. Hard drives of this nature are more like a record play, due to the great design of the hard drive there is a niddle that moves toward the platter but no matter how fast it moves it cannot touch it, so when you have a hard drive that is suppose to lay flat and maybe you turn it around. This may lead to the niddle in the hard drive going ether too far or two closer to the platter and this may be damaging to the processing speed and performance of your hard drive.<br /><br />2. Scan the hard drive for errors<br /><br />This is also another way to maintain our hard drive, we simply can insert the hard drive in the computer, and scan it with your anti virus for errors.. Although it’s not essential to carry this test out often, it’s worth doing every once in a while.<br /><br />3. Cables Maintenance<br /><br />Sometimes, the kind of cable we use with our external hard drive really matters. So at all times we want to always make sure that the connection between our hard drive and the cable are intact in order for us not to loose the files in our hard drive due to an unexpected disconnection. This could also occur while your transferring/moving files. the result on the hard drive may be fatal as time goes on, hence we wanna watch this aspect seriously. Using short cables can me more efficient and faster, sometimes longer cables really does help but they can easily develop one fault or the other and starts the connecting and disconnecting process...<br /><br /><br />3. Make sure you buy a good hard drive<br /><br />most times, the cause of all these problems may not be laying it flat or the cable, although they have their own problems they add, but the main reasons for such problems is that sometimes we go for hard drives that are not good, simply because they are affordable.<br />There are lots of hard drives in our locality today, and the best practise should be choosing a hard drive that will work best for you and you alone. Going for hard drives that are cheap or sold in non computer  gadgets stores may be detrimental to us..<br />To confirm this, when i bought a 500GB hard drive sometime ago it was about 14000 naira, and it contained a very tight table i used this for over 2 years before misplacing it, but recently when i got a 320GB hard drive, OH MY GOODNESS, is was crap, i got it 7000 naira and to my surprise the hard drive came with come with loose cables and an inferior hardware inside.<br />Doing some little research about hard drives before going to buy them can be a best practise, as it can save you from buying fake and UN-durable hard drives, so after researching about a particular hard drive, looking for it is the next stage..<br /><br />4. ALWAYS EJECT<br /><br />This is common with some persons, after using the external hard drive, they open "MY COMPUTER" and right click on the the hard drive partition to look for eject, and once EJECT is not found, they just remove the USB cable from the system. If your doing this, you really have to stop because your causing great damage to your hard drive and the files you have inside.<br /><br />5. Adjusting Your View of 3-D Graphs

ADDING TEXT BOXES TO CHARTS

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Charts as explained in my previous post is a pictorial or graphical representation of a given data, this applies to both word and excel and other programs that the term may be used.<br />When a chart is created from an Excel data, there is this tendency of some users wanting to add text boxes to the current chart, for some reasons best know to them, either for beautification, for adding comment/comments to a point on the graph, or for advertisments, sometimes text boxes are added for an information to be brought out. Whatever the case may be, whatever the reason for adding a text box to a chart maybe, adding a text box to a chart can be carried out in 2 ways, i wll mention them, so read on!!!!<br /><br />The first method is by making use of the Drawing toolbar. Making sure it is displayed is one thing, after that click the Text Box tool. Then the mouse pointer will change to cross hairs, then click and hold and drag to outline the text box you want created...<br /><br />The second way to create a text box is to use the Formula bar. Make sure you select any part of your chart except a title or data label. Click in the Formula bar and start typing your desired text to appear in the text box. Press Enter, the text you typed will be placed in a text box in the center of the chart. You are free to create a SmartArt graphic by choosing from among many different layouts/patterns we have there to quickly and easily communicate your message, doing so effectively.<br />Sometimes i create content that contains only text, even though the illustrations and graphics help myaudiences to understand and to recall information better than text.<br />Creating designer-quality illustrations can be ver difficult, especially if you are not a professional designer or no resources to hire one.. Well, you use previous (old) versions of Microsoft Office, spending lots of time anf effort making the same sizes of shapes and trying to align them properly to where theu fit, getting your doument to look the best way that it should and manually formatting the shapes so they can be just the same as the document's overall style, instead of laying down your effort on your content.<br />With the help of SmartArt graphics and other new features such as themes, creating designer and quality illustrations with only a few clicks with your computer mouse in possible due to the avaliability of recent or updated versions of microsoft word.<br />You can create a SmartArt graphic in Microsoft Office Excel 2007, Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007, Microsoft Office Word 2007, or in an e-mail message in Microsoft Office Outlook 2007.
