<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">If you do a lot of presentations in Microsoft power point, there is a possibility of coming across some large data reports that may include charts and graphs that summarize data for your audiences and bring about better understanding as well, and so adding charts and graphs may be something that will bother us at that moment.<br />It is somewhat difficult to copy and paste an entire chart from Excel into a power point slide, this is because the chart can be seen quite alright, but the entire worksheet will also be copied to the slide and so when you double-click on the copied chart, Microsoft power point instead of opening only the chart, it will go ahead and open the entire worksheet, thereby causing problems for the user.<br />It is not really likely for most users to password a presentation carried out in power point, but if this is the case then the computer user can easily adjust the data that was fed into the chart and easily corrupt accuracy.<br /><br />Secondly, since the entire Excel workbook is copied into the PowerPoint file, this can dramatically increase the total size on the PowerPoint file, possibly making it too cumbersome for distribution.<br />One simple solution is to modify how the pasting into PowerPoint is done. Follow these steps:<br />In Excel, copy the chart as you normally would. (For instance, select the chart and press Ctrl+C.)<br /><br />In PowerPoint, display the slide where you want the chart to appear.<br />Choose the Paste Special option from the Edit menu. PowerPoint displays the Paste Special dialog box. </div>

When a chart is created using this program Microsoft Excel, there are always values within each cell that are being represented in a chart, which is then converted to a data point. Don't include any summary or total information in the range. You will create the best charts when you work with raw data. You can select any headings, however.<br /><br />Click on the Chart Wizard tool to start the Chart Wizard. This displays the Chart Wizard dialogue box, where you are asked to select a chart type.<br /><br />Select any of the 14 types shown in the Chart Type list. (You can always make changes later.) When you select a type, the information in the Chart Sub-type area of the dialogue box is changed.<br />Click on one of the Chart Sub-types shown at the right side of the dialogue box.<br />Click on Next. Excel proceeds to the second step of the Chart Wizard, where your information is first presented as a chart.<br /><br />Make any necessary changes to the data range depicted in the dialogue box, then click on Next. Excel displays the third step of the Chart Wizard.<br /><br />Using the controls in the dialogue box, indicate the title, labels, and other formatting you want used for your chart. As you make changes, notice that the sample chart is updated to reflect your changes.<br />When you are happy with your formatting settings, click on the Next button. Excel displays the final step of the Chart Wizard. Here you select whether you want your chart embedded in your worksheet or to appear on its own, as a chart sheet.<br /><br />Click on Finish. Your chart is created as directed by you.<br />You should note that these are general steps for using the Chart Wizard. It is possible that the steps may be modified a bit depending on the type of chart you choose to create.<br /><br /><br />For some reasons deleting a Chart is what will bother some users, well am also going to show you how to delete a chart..<br /><br />Excel allows it users to create various patterns of chart based on the data available in the present worksheet. Most of the times, these created charts can be on their independent worksheet, other times they may be under other sheets, hence embedded under those sheets. So weather the chart is embedded or is independent, deleting such charts are always done in the same way, all you need to do is to first of all know the chart to be deleted and later click on the chart.. ADDING TEXT BOXES TO CHARTS

<div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Charts as explained in my previous post is a pictorial or graphical representation of a given data, this applies to both word and excel and other programs that the term may be used.<br />When a chart is created from an Excel data, there is this tendency of some users wanting to add text boxes to the current chart, for some reasons best know to them, either for beautification, for adding comment/comments to a point on the graph, or for advertisments, sometimes text boxes are added for an information to be brought out. Whatever the case may be, whatever the reason for adding a text box to a chart maybe, adding a text box to a chart can be carried out in 2 ways, i wll mention them, so read on!!!!<br /><br />The first method is by making use of the Drawing toolbar. Making sure it is displayed is one thing, after that click the Text Box tool. Then the mouse pointer will change to cross hairs, then click and hold and drag to outline the text box you want created...<br /><br />The second way to create a text box is to use the Formula bar. Make sure you select any part of your chart except a title or data label. Click in the Formula bar and start typing your desired text to appear in the text box. Press Enter, the text you typed will be placed in a text box in the center of the chart. LOGICAL FUNCTION AND HOW TO CALCULATE FOR IT...

It is also a spreadsheet package that is used for determining one out of two outcome.. we might wonder how, you see soon. The msost commonly used funtion in this topic is the IF condition X and Y. where X sounds for a value if true and Y for the false value.. In some of our previous posts i have been talking about some excel topcis and i have happened to talk about 2 or 3 of them. Today, i will be talking about another important topic under the excel program that affects us one way or the other, you been a student or a worker, its most important to business organisation as it affects how you as a Director run your firm, follow the post!!!!!!!!!!<br /><br />Payroll analysis is a spreed sheet analysis that is used for the recording of how staff of a firm are been paid in a business firm. It goes beyound what you can see, so i will explain. At the end of every day, week or month, staff of various firms are been paid depending on the contract signed, how they are paid is whats recorded in this payroll. In some firms, there are usually addition of allowances to the salaries of their staff, sometimes depending on their positions or their efficiency at work. All the same, there are also dues that are sometimes taken from these workers either knowingly or unknowly to them. When such dues are paid, they are not removed from the staff allowances or from the addition of the allowance and the actual salary, they are removed from the salary, as well as when a staff borrows money from the company, the company also removes its money from the salary and not the allowances, take note. I will write 1000 in a cell and will show you how to determine the name of that cell carrying 1000. This is where we now come to tracing the cell's name. <div dir="ltr" style="text-align: left;" trbidi="on">Sales day book is a spreadsheet analysis that is used for the calculation of goods sold out of a firm in a given sales day, week, month or year.. This topic in Microsoft excel is of importance to managements, as this can help them to know it they are making profits or running loss. Well, there are some functions (little formulas  that are applied before the program starts functioning well. All the topics have their own formulas  so please do not join them together, if you get confused along the way simply drop your question/questions in my comment box and i will pay attention to it.<br />The fields present in sales day book are as follows;<br />SERIAL NUMBER<br />DATE<br />NAME OF CUSTOMER<br />PARTICULARS<br />QUANTITY<br />RATE<br />COST<br />CASH<br />BALANCE<br /><br />The serial number is our normal numeric values, numbering from 1-0. To get this in excel, all you have to do is to click on a cell and type the number (1). As you will see, the cell containing the 1 is an active cell, hence its border will be thicker and it will also have a thick dark spot at the bottom right. Now all you have to do is to take your cursor to that spot and click and hold and drag it downward, holding down your control key, when you get to your destination, LEAVE THE CONTROL KEY BEFORE LEAVING THE LEFT CLICK BUTTON, you will see the numbers is order from 1-20 as the case may be. Another way of doing this is by holding your left click, drag it to the button without holding your control key, after leaving the left click you will notice what you will have is a repeated figure like....<br />Now at the bottom left you will see a discussion box, click on the arrow and select FILL SERIES, all the numbers will be arranged in order.<br /><br />Date: the date has to be the present date,Well it has its own formula but the formula can be wrong when you have a wrong date in your system, so it is advised that you correct your date in your computer before applying the formula. What you have to do is click on the cell you want to add the date to and type either of the formula's below<br />=NOW()<br />=TODAY()<br />=DATE()<br />If you want to apply the date according to the number of serial numbers you have, you don't need to repeat the formula again, all you have to do is to click on the answer given to you by the formula and click and hold and drag downward without holding the control key... If the goods bought are in series or models, they should be specified with the aid of a bracket.<br /><br />Quantity: this is the number of particulars obtained by the customer.<br /><br />RATE: this is the cost of one of the particulars, if the goods bought are 3, how much does one cost?<br /><br />Cost: this is the amount the firm sold a product, hence multiplying quantity and rate will give you this amount. Formula is =SUM(E5*F5), if the fields are much, there's no need of repeating the same formula, all you need do it click and hold and drag for the answer to be applied to all.<br /><br />Cash: this is the amount deposited by the customer for the purchased goods. Like i said in one of my previous posts, when a row cuts across a column a little rectangle is formed and that rectangle is what we refer to as a CELL. Comparing the table in word and excel can be said to be futile because excel was designed specifically that why, while word only has a feature like that. So how can i get a table in Microsoft word becomes the next question. In some cases we might be asked to design a table that probably has more or lesser than the default table, what can we do ?<br />If i am asked to create a table containing 4 columns and 4 rows, i will click on insert, then table and move my cursor to the forth column after which i take my hands downward to the forth row and then click on the last cell for the table to be drawn. This is where we find the options, either to add rows and columns to left or right. The colomns is excel are represented with the aphabelts while the rows are represented with numbers. To see the last row and last column in excel, simply press the control key + Right direction, this will display the last column, then press control + button, this is display the last row in the excel worksheet. A spreadsheet consists of rows, columns and cells, like i said earlier the rows are represented by numbers while the columns by aphabelts. In this program we have billions of cells, but it might interest you to know that among all these available cells, a user can only make use of one at a time and this can only happen to active cells. So how can i make a cell active ? This is very easy, all you have to do is click on the cell. But how can i know this cell i clicked on is now active?<br />.<br />THICKNESS OF THE CELL: when a cell is clicked it becomes an active cell and its border thickness differs from every other cells in the worksheet.<br />Another way to know is that, there is always a thick dark spot at the button right of the clicked cell.<br /><br />There is also what we call the name box and the formular bar, this two features are really a great tool for excel users.
