WHATS THE CPU (CENTRAL PROCESSING UNIT) AND ITS FUNCTION

This is one important part of the system that's makes the computer set complete.. Well as most individuals think, the central processing unit is this box seen below.

Am not surprised because i also have the same idea some time ago but after some personal research and some additional tutor from my fellow computer instructors i had a clear view of what the CPU is, what it does and how it does them and am happy to say am going to talk on the above aspects of the CPU. So, if your reading this now then count yourself lucky because there this is one great post you cant afford to miss. this is how it looks like, i bet you can see the difference now.

The CPU is regarded and seen as the brain of the computer system. The physical size of the CPU

, it is very very small in relation to the physical sizes of the input and output devices. Inside the computer is a silicon chip called the cpu, and with the help of the computers internal memory it is able to execute the instruction in a program or programs by performing simple logical operation at a very high speed.... the CPU carry out all these instructions from each program in sequence, to perform the basic, logical and input and output operations of the system. Over the years, the designs and implementation of the CPU has changed a lot but the basic function and  features and its fundamental operation remains much much the same..

FUNCTIONS OF THE CPU
the functions of the CPU of a computer are as follows:
The CPU holds the program instructions of a computer
It carries out data program instructions
It helps to update any master file that needs to be changed
It helps to produce output information's by transmitting through output devices
the CPU carries out the computers functions
these are just minor functions of the CPU.............
