We have seen a bunch of iPhone 7 rumours till now. Most of them were confirmed by many sources, whereas others appear to be still a work in progress. One such rumour is about the iPhone 7 having a 256GB storage option. So this is one of the rumours which we are seeing from the beginning, and now more leaks have suggested that this might be true after all. Also recently, a well-known Chinese manufacturer of data collection also suggested some similar reports. As you can see from the image below, a 256GB variant is also seen along with the 32GB and the 128GB. These reports are from the first assembly declaration.
So now it’s a just a matter of time as we see the device in all its glory. The launch is expected to happen by the second week of September. Also, recently there are rumours of an iPhone 6 SE as well.
After four months of launching the latest iPhone 6s and 6s Plus , now we are seeing the possible specifications of the iPhone 7 plus . Though this is not the first time we are hearing something about upcoming iPhones, the latest information comes from the suppliers suggesting the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus to features 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch displays that are same as on iPhone 6 & 6 Plus and iPhone 6s & 6s Plus .
The changes can be found in the specifications part, where the upcoming iPhones are said to sport 256GB of internal storage along with the other storage variants. Recently Asus is the only manufacturer that launched the special edition Zenfone 2 Deluxe with a such a huge 256GB built-in storage. While this year iPhones came with smaller capacity batteries than their predecessors, but the 2017 iPhones will have a larger battery where the larger iPhone 7 Plus will include a 3,100mAh battery, i.e.; 12.7% bigger when compared to the 2,750mAh battery on the iPhone 6s Plus.
The Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) will only be part of the bigger iPhone 7 Plus, where both the devices can record videos in 4K resolution. As seen with the pricing of recently launched iPhone 6 Plus that is priced $949 for the 128GB Storage option which is $100 more than the 64GB model. Since the expected 256GB storage is the double than the currently available options, we expect the pricing to be around $1149 or somewhere around that which will also be $100 more than the 128GB variant.
With the increased battery capacities, we can also expect the device to be slightly thicker than the currently available iPhone 6s plus. There are others rumors that Apple is opting out the 3.5mm audio jack to make the device 1mm slimmer. The company will be through in a Bluetooth EarPods within the package along with a special adapter for connecting the normal headphones with the lighting port. Take this with a pinch of salt until there is a confirmation from the company.
