Many are wondering when the phablet might be released since there are very few official details available for it. But thanks to leaks and rumors circulating around, it's not hard to get to know Nexus 6 ahead of its launch date.
According to
Latino Post, the Huawei-made phablet is set to be released this September together with the LG Nexus 5 (2015). Rumors say that both models will be unveiled during a special launch event set for Sept. 29. Some sources also say that it will already come with the latest operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Nexus 6 (2015) is also most likely to sport a 5.7-inch FHD or QHD display with a fingerprint sensor located at the rear of the phone. The addition of this biometric security will not come as a surprise as it looks like the company is putting a feature that they missed to do in the previous versions. Aside from the fingerprint scanner, the phablet is rumored of having a bump close to the top of the back panel, according to
Breathe Cast. The unique shape of the back is due to a protuberance attributed to the smartphone's camera assembly. The speculation became more convincing when it showed a close likeness to the leaked TPU cases that were released online last August.
With regards to its design and specs,
Geek Snack reports that it will carry under the hood a Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3 GB RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. It will have a metal body and will come with USB Type-C, as well as 21MP rear camera and a 3,500 mAh battery.
Sources say that some people might be turned off with the latest smartphone's price tag.
