How To Add Any URL To Your Facebook Saved Items List

Two years ago Facebook introduced a ‘<a class="externalLink" href="http://www.addictivetips.com/web/facebook-bookmark-posts/" rel="nofollow" style="color: #09324f; font-family: 'Fugaz One', cursive; font-size: 11px; line-height: 13.97px; text-decoration: none;" target="_blank">Save</a>‘ feature that allowed users to bookmark or save for later content they found on the network. It let you save links, images, books, movies, pages, and music and mimicked Pocket to a great extent. It was however limited to only saving content shared on Facebook. If you found a link outside Facebook, you couldn’t add it to your list of Saved items. That’s changed as of two days ago; Facebook has released a bookmarklet that you can add to your bookmarks bar and use it to send any link on the web to your Facebook ‘Saved’ list. Visit the link at the bottom and drag and drop the bookmarklet on to the bookmarks bar. Browse the web and when you come across a link that you want to save to your Facebook account, click the bookmarklet. A new tab will open with the URL added just below a ‘Save to Facebook’ button. A notification will appear at the top right telling you the link has successfully been added to your account. Save An Image From Google Image Search Results To Your Google Account

Google Photos on Android has been update. The update now allows users to selectively sync photos from their device to Google Photos as opposed to having them all sync to it. It’s also made a small but very useful update to Google Image search. If you are signed into your Google account when you search for images, you can save an image from the results to your Google account. A Save button now appears next to the ‘View Image’ button when you preview an image result. It doesn’t seem to work just yet on local Google Image versions but is working on Google.com. Go to Google Image search and start looking for an image you need. From the results, click an image to open its preview and you will see the ‘Save’ button. Click it and when the star inside the button turns yellow, it indicates the image has been saved. You will likely want/have to bookmark the link itself if you’re looking for fast access. On this ‘Save’ page, you can add tags to the images that are added to it but you cannot sort them into folders. The images are of course not actually added to your account. Instead a link to them is saved which means should the image become unavailable at any point you won’t have a backup of it. The feature is pretty neat because it allows users to save images they find when using Google Images. You don’t have to open the actual image in your browser and you certainly don’t have to save the image to your local drive just so you can take a look at it later. How To Remove The Item Check Box In Windows 10

When you hover the mouse cursor over an item in Windows 10, whether it’s an icon on your desktop or a file you’re looking at inside File Explorer you see a check box appear over it. Clicking the item once selects it and a check mark appears inside the check box to indicate the same. The icon is also highlighted like it used to be in Windows 7 to indicate a selected icon. Windows 10 basically has two different ways to indicate a selected item. If you find the check boxes are redundant or confusing you can disable them. They remind of how web apps and even some desktop apps indicate an ‘editing’ mode for selecting and performing any sort of action on multiple files at once. When you select multiple files and/or folders, check box appears on all of them. Perhaps this is meant to make selection easier on touch screens and tablets but on an ordinary laptop or desktop the feature is more or less redundant. The highlight that appears on a selected icon is more than enough to indicate that it’s been selected. How To Selectively Sync Folders With Google Drive

Google Drive is perhaps one of the strongest Dropbox competitors in the market right now. Being a Google product the app and its web version are just a bigger team for Dropbox to contend with. Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides are built to save documents to it. Given everything Google Drive has going for it, it might surprise you that up until a few days ago it lacked a very essential feature that Dropbox has had for ages; selective folder syncing. The feature basically lets you pick and choose which folders to sync to your desktop. As of a recent update, you can now select which folders are synced to your desktop when you first install the Google Drive app or you can select them later on. Here’s how to do both. Select Folders To Sync On First Install When you download and install Google Drive for the very first time, you’re asked to sign in to your Google account and then taken through a very brief tour. On the very last tour slide named ‘You’re all set!’, you will see a ‘Sync options’ button at the bottom. Right-click the Google Drive icon in the System Tray. Check Out Common Problems & Potential Remedies Of Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge's

Here are some of the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge's main problems and Potential Remedies. <img alt="NigeriaBam_s7.jpg" class="bbCodeImage LbImage" src="http://www.guruslodge.com/attachments/nigeriabam_s7-jpg.35958/" style="border: 0px; font-family: 'Fugaz One', cursive; font-size: 11px; line-height: 13.97px; max-width: 100%;" />  Problem 1 – “Warning, Camera failed” error Some users have found that when opening the camera app, the screen remains blank, followed by a message that says “warning, camera failed.” This issue has primarily been seen with the Galaxy S7, but a few Galaxy S7 Edge owners have come across this problem as well. Potential Remedies : » The issue seems to be caused by the Smart Stay feature. Smart Stay uses the front camera to keep a track of when you are looking at the phone, and that seems to create a problem when trying to load the rear camera. As a temporary fix, you can turn off Smart Stay by going to Settings – Display. » This is a known issue, and a software update is rolling out from Samsung at the moment, which you should receive quite soon. Problem 2 – MicroSD card issues To the delight of many fans, Samsung brought back expandable storage with the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. However, users have come across a few issues related to it. For starters, there is no adoptable expandable storage. Secondly, a couple of persistent popups related to the microSD card appear randomly, multiple times during the day. Finally, the microSD card also seems to make the device take a touch longer to wake. Potential Remedies : » As far as the adoptable storage issue is concerned, there is a useful guide on how to activate this setting, which you can find here. While the phones don’t have to be rooted for this solution, make sure that you follow the steps exactly as stated, and some form of technical know-how is recommended. » When it comes to the random persistent popups, some users have found the formatting the microSD card to the exFAT standard seems to have done the trick. However, a lot of users have found this to be a hardware issue, and the only option then is to pick up a replacement. » When it comes to the slow to wake issue, certain brands of microSD cards seem to cause the problem more than others, including Samsung cards as well. Samsung has released a software update this month that fixes this problem, so make sure that your device is updated to the latest software version. Problem 3 – Buttons and capacitive keys become unresponsive Some users have found the power button and volume down button to suddenly not be working, and in other cases, the capacitive Recent Apps key and the physical home button seem to become unresponsive as well. The latter is an issue seen mostly with the Galaxy S7 Edge only. Potential Remedies : » A rogue app seems to be the cause for concern in both cases. Boot the device into Safe Mode (you can find the steps on how to do so below) and see if the issue persists. If it doesn’t, uninstall any apps you added just before the problem showed up, and that should fix things. » Most of the time, a reset does the trick. Press and hold the power button and volume down button for a few seconds, until the device restarts. In the case of the first issue, even these buttons seem to be unresponsive, this restart method does work anyway. » In the case of the Recent Apps key and home button not working, a few users have found Car Mode to be the culprit. Turn off Car Mode in the settings, and see if it fixes the issue. Problem 4 – Distorted audio and “moisture detected” alert The Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge come with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, which means that the phones can be submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for as long as 30 minutes without a negative impact on performance. However, users have found the audio from the speakers to sound distorted. Others have found that there devices refuse to charge, with a “moisture detected” alert popping up. Potential Remedies : » Both these issues go away for the most part as the device dries up. Make sure that you wipe down the device as soon as it is out of the water, and if you are especially worried, the old bag of rice trick works as well. Avoid using a blow dryer though, as the intense heat may affect the components. The “moisture detected” alert is a useful fail safe that helps avoid any problems when plugging in the device to charge. Problem 5 – Auto correct issue with stock Samsung keyboard Quite a few users have found the auto replace feature of the stock Samsung keyboard to be acting up in weird ways. When ending a sentence with an exclamation point or question mark, the auto corrected word changes to something completely different and unrelated. Potential Remedies : » The only option here is to either turn off the auto replace feature, or move to a third-party keyboard that can be downloaded from the Google Play Store. Hopefully, a future software update will address this problem. Problem 6 – Connectivity issues A lot of users face connectivity issues with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when they pick up a new phone, and the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are no exceptions. That said, these devices did suffer from a serious Wi-Fi connectivity problem, but that has been addressed with a software update. Potential Remedies : » Wi-Fi connection keeps dropping This seems to be a very common issue, specifically with wireless routers that support both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. Go into the Advanced settings in the Wi-Fi menu of the phone, and look for Wi-Fi Frequency Band. Change it from the default Automatic selection to 2.4 GHz only, and this seems to fix the problem for most users. » Cannot connect to Wi-Fi 1. Turn the device and the router off for at least ten seconds, then turn them back and retry the connection. 2. Go to Settings – Power saving and ensure that this option is turned off. 3. Use the Wi-Fi Analyzer to check how crowded your channel is, and switch to a better option. 4. Forget the Wi-Fi connection by going to Settings – Wi-Fi and long tapping the connection you want, then selecting “Forget”. Re-enter the details and try again. 5. Make sure the router firmware is up to date. 6. Make sure the applications and software on the device are up to date. 7. Go into Wi-Fi – Settings – Advanced and make a note of your device MAC address, then make sure that it is allowed access in the router’s MAC filter. Bluetooth Problems 1. Check the manufacturer’s manual for the device and the car and reset your connections. 2. Ensure that you are not missing a vital part of the connection process. 4. Go to Settings – Bluetooth and ensure nothing needs changing 5. Go into Settings – Bluetooth delete all prior pairings and try setting them up again from scratch. 6. Guides – soft reset, hard reset, wipe cache partition, boot into Safe Mode Soft Reset Press and hold the power button and volume down key simultaneously for about 10 seconds until the device powers off. This works when the screen is unresponsive. Hard Reset 1. With the device turned off, press and hold the volume up key, home button, and power button simultaneously. 2. When the Samsung logo appears, release the power button, but continue to hold the volume up and home buttons. 3. When the Android system recovery screen appears, release all buttons. 4. Use the volume down button to toggle the selection to “wipe data/factory reset,” then press the power button to accept it. 5. Use the volume down button to toggle the selection to “Yes — delete all user data,” then press the power button. 6. Wait for the reset to finish. You will eventually be prompted to “Reboot system now.” Press the power button to continue. 7. If the phone is on, go to Settings – Backup & reset – Reset device – Erase Everything. Wipe cache partition 1. With the device turned off, press and hold the volume up key, home button, and power button simultaneously. 2. When the Samsung logo appears, release the power button, but continue to hold the volume up and home buttons. 3. When the Android system recovery screen appears, release all buttons. 4. Use the volume down button to toggle the selection to “wipe cache partition,” then press the power button to accept it. 5. When the previous menu returns, go up and select “Reboot system now,” Boot in Safe Mode When the device is turned off, turn the device on again and press and hold the volume down button until a “Safe Mode” button shows up.
