Who’s ready for another crazy Russian smartphone? The YotaPhone 2 may seem like a relatively standard smartphone running Android 4.4, but it harbors one major twist: it has a second display on the back, and it’s no ordinary screen. This oddball device effectively crams a five-inch AMOLED display and a 4.7-inch e-ink display into a single pocket-sized device. It sounds incredible at first, but the hefty asking price makes this phone a nonstarter. 
 
So, why are there two displays? AMOLED and e-ink displays serve very different purposes. AMOLEDs offer bright and vibrant images, but the power cost is non-trivial. On the other hand, e-ink screens are comparatively limited, but use much less power when displaying static images. Shipping with both types of displays offers the user a ton of flexibility, and definitely sets the YotaPhone 2 apart from the crowd. Unfortunately, there are a few other aspects of this whacky smartphone that may keep you on the fence. 
 
Yotaphone 2 The YotaPhone 2 sports a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage. Those are competitive internals, but when you combine those with two whopping screens, it’s no surprise that the price tag is outrageous. In the UK, you’ll need to drop £550 to snag an unlocked YotaPhone 2. As of writing, that converts to roughly $863 USD — yikes. Even worse, it’s only currently available in 20 countries, and the US isn’t one of them. Supposedly, this phone will make its way to Asia, North America, and South America sometime in 2015, but will anyone even care by then? 
 
Back in February, our very own Sebastian Anthony got his hands on a prototype YotaPhone 2. He wasn’t sold on the idea, and none of the reviews of the final product contradict his initial skepticism. This model is much better than the original YotaPhone, but it remains little more than a novelty. You’re still better off sticking with a Nexus 6 or iPhone 6. 
 
Truth be told, I’d be more interested in a low-cost, low-power e-ink smartphone. It obviously wouldn’t be as versatile as a standard smartphone, but the battery savings alone might be worth the compromise. It sure would be nice to go two weeks between charging my phone. As it stands, I’m currently eyeing a battery case to last more than 10 hours at a shot. If nothing else, let’s hope that this niche Russian smartphone inspires other companies to step away from the iPhone mold.</div>

Changing IMEI number of a device is not fully legal but sometimes it may prove useful in some certain circumstances. For instance, Blackberry subscriptions only works on Blackberry device but changing the IMEI number of Android phones enables users using MTN, GLO, ETISALAT, and Airtel network to use BB subscription on their phones. It has been of great notice that some MTK Device users are still finding it rather complicated and difficult to change their Android IMEI to that of a BLACKBERRY DEVICE. There has not been any previous posts from 9JALINKS on this matter before due to some issues. well i have decided to SHOW all our ANDROID readers that it is very possible for them to browse using a BlackBerry subscription for those who are Glo subscribers.. This is a working method which I'm very sure 
 
this will work out well for us. All you have to do is follow the steps properly 
 
First to do is to Know if Your Phone is an MTK Device 
It is indeed very important for you to first identify what MTK stands for and what it truly mean for the benefit of those who it might sound alien to. MTK simply stands for MediaTek, and MediaTek is a well-known chip manufacturing company based in Taiwan that mostly outsources their products, hence they are regarded as Fabless companies. So, phone like Tecno, Infinix, Gionee and other most Chinese phone are MTK all Devices. You can also detect your MTK phone when you install mobile uncle, under engineering tab, if its MTK device you will have IMEI in engineering option available. I believe this is understood...Well for all this process to work out successful, there are some tools needed, we dont have them here so you may have to download somewhere else for now until i upload them here 
 
First and foremost, Your phone must be a rooted device. then download MTK Droid Tools v2.5.. 
Next is to download GIPv4.1 Software so you can get a Cracked Blackberry IMEI the step is quite simple. Android ADB Driver – Download Adb Driver Installer (Universal) >>here<< or >>here<< 
 Remember to back up your phone, Dont worry about your old IMEI, its written behind your phone when you remove the battery, or you can 
 
get it by dailing *#06# and write it somewhere.. 
If you cant beat them, make them an offer.. What are you struggling with ? 
Now, Extract and open the MTKDroidTools.exe be sure to run it as an Administrator first after download 
Connect your phone and be sure you have already root your phone and have installed the correct Driver for your phone. Once you have open the MTK Droid Tools it will automatically read and detect the information of your Device. After this process, notice that your IMEI will show there but if you have error it will not show there and we will use this tool to restore it. 
 
From the interface, Click the ROOT button so that it will temporary have Root shell access on your phone to make the script work on the background. The colour will change from yellow to green and so on and It will prompt this window to gain root shell access 
Once you have the root shell access click the IMEI/NVRAM button and a new window will show. Now all you need to do is put your 15 Digits Blackberry IMEI Number you generated earlier, THATS ALL, FOR DUAL SIM USERS, JUST LOOK FOR IMEI 1 AND IMEI 2............ 
 
 
This is yet another method, using Terminal Emulator.

Download and install Terminal Emulator to your Android phone, you can download it from here 
Open it, type SU and press enter key to gain Superuser access Then type this command and press enter key: echo AT +EGMR=1,7,”IMEI_NUMBER”>/dev/pttycmd1 or echo AT +EGMR=1*7*IMEI_1 
 
>/dev/pttycmd1 
 
For Dual-SIM Android phones 
Type this command: echo AT +EGMR=1,10, “IMEI_NUMBER” >/dev/pttycmd1 
Replace the IMEI_NUMBER with the Blackberry IMEI number you've just generate or any IMEI number you want and reboot your phone. 
 
Note: make sure to add a space between "AT" and "+" in the command, the procedures listed above works best on MTK (MediaTek) powered Android devices. IS THIS ME? Don't forget to share it with your friends

I use to believe that lots of Blackberry users are sometimes using their Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) on their Blackberry devices.  Well yes some are using but i have come to understand that yet some others are not using, while there are some who are using without knowing how to go about with the subscription or how to go about checking their data plans. Whatever the case may be, today im gonna show you how to solve some of those minute problems. There are variety of ways to check your BIS Expiry Date while subscribing to these are done according to your network provider (MTN, GLO, AIRTEL, ETISALAT AMONG OTHERS). You can easily monitor your current Blackberry data bundle usage via text message or by dialing a programmed code.

Microsoft releases free Office apps for iPhone and iPad, Android coming soon

In a rather surprising move, Microsoft has made the Office suite of apps — Word, Excel, and PowerPoint — free to download and use on the iPad and iPhone. Previously, an Office 365 subscription was required — but now, unless you’re a business customer or after some advanced functionality, you can now open and edit Office docs, spreadsheets, and slideshows for free on your iOS device. If all that wasn't exciting enough, Microsoft also announced that the free Office suite is coming to Android, with beta access starting today. Both the iOS and Android versions of the Office suite have Drop-box integration baked in, following the announcement of a strategic partnership between the two companies earlier this week.

At the first glance for me, it seemed kinda odd that Microsoft would give away one of its most lucrative products for free but don’t worry, it all makes perfect business strategy. For most of Microsoft’s life, a huge portion of its profits were derived from sales of the Office suite package. Office, much like Windows, was one of the highest productivity software. It was installed on almost every home, school, and work machine and lots lots more up till date. For the longest time, the various Office apps produced file formats that could only be viewed and edited by Office apps and so it was almost impossible for alternatives to establish a beachhead. However, as the world’s reliance on Windows has diminished as people move to Linux, apple even powerful smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, and myriad other form factors.. So Microsoft has been forced to embrace other platforms, adopt open file formats, and generally reassess its strategy. 
 
On the smartphone and tablet, where you can get reasonably good productivity apps for a few dollars (or free), Microsoft really do not have much choice than to price Office equivalently. One of the biggest strengths of Office is that, because it’s installed almost everywhere, you can fairly reasonably send a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file to someone and expect that they can: a) open it, and b) probably edit it as well. As more and more of our time is spent on smartphones and tablets, Microsoft has to move quickly to ensure that Office remains dominant in the face of alternative, cheaper, disruptive apps — and thus, here we are, with free versions of the most excellent Office for iOS and Android. 
 
While the Office apps are free for file viewing, editing, and creation, an Office 365 subscription  which is about $10 per month — is still required for some advanced functions, such as column formatting in Word or chart editing in Excel. You’ll also need an Office 365 subscription to open files from a business One Drive or Dropbox account, which will ensure that corporate and enterprise customers don’t cancel their subscriptions any time soon. All round, this is a very savvy move from Microsoft to ensure the continued reign of Office and at the same time, boosting its relevance in the mobile computing market.
