How to Change the Title Bar color in Windows 10

During the past few months, we have seen Windows 10 go from a simple user interface to one that has more customizable options such as being able to change the accent colors. One area Microsoft has yet to update is the title bars as they have been white during nearly the entire beta period. But thanks to a simple modification, if you want to change the colors, it's as simple as applying a new theme.

Here's how it works: download the zip file from the link below (no warranties on this, try at your own risk, we take no responsibility for anything that may go wrong here) and then extract the zip file. After extracting, copy the files to Windows -> Resources -> Themes so that it looks like the image above.

Once you have copied the files, double click the 'windows' file and this will apply the color to the title bars. If you want to change the color, simply go to the personalization menu and switch the accent color and this will change the title bars to whatever color you want.

Seeing how simple this modification is, we are surprised that Microsoft has not turned this feature on but there may be compatibility issues that are not obvious. For now, the company isn't commenting on if or when this functionality will arrive, but until then, you can use this modification to enable the feature.

Google Nexus 5X review

Nexus 5 was undoubtedly a great smartphone, offering excellent performance, decent design, and good build quality. It was not the most powerful handset when it was launched, but it got the job done, more importantly, at a price that did not burn a hole in the buyers' pocket.

Its successor Nexus 6, however, was hardly fit to take over the position as the best Google had to offer: It is certainly a powerful device, but the huge screen and the equally big price tag prohibited buyers to flock to the new Nexus model as they did to its predecessor.

Now is the turn of Nexus 5X to give it a shot at becoming the best smartphone offered by Google yet, at a relatively modest price tag. On the face of it, the smartphone has a lot to offer, but it also has a few limitations that may prevent it from becoming a hit.

Find out exactly what the device is all about in our Google Nexus 5X review...

Design
From the outset, it is clear Nexus 5X is not going to win any design awards. The all-plastic body is made of the same soft plastic material that was previously used in Nexus 5 (and a few other smartphones).

The front panel has the standard Nexus design, featuring a selfie camera above the display and no hardware buttons. Above and below the Nexus 5X screen are speaker grilles; however, only the one at the bottom acts as the loudspeaker.

The back panel feels ever so slightly rubbery if you hold the handset with a slightly strong grip. The camera hump on the back does not look good, but some people in the office did not mind it as much as we did, so this is more of a personal taste. On the left of the camera are the laser transmitter for faster autofocus and the dual-LED flash. Below the camera setup is the Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor. Just below the sensor are the Nexus and LG branding.

The Power and Volume buttons are on the right of the smartphone, while the 3.5mm earphone jack and USB Type C port are at the bottom. On the left is the sim card slot, while a mic is located on top.

One of the most remarkable things about Google Nexus 5X is how light it is: just 136 grams. This makes it lighter than the new iPhone 6S, which is a feat worth noticing because Nexus 5X's battery capacity is much bigger than that of the new iPhone.

Complementing the lightweight body is the compact form factor, which enables users to wrap their hands around the Nexus 5X with ease. This form factor and ease of wielding the handset more than make up for the plain design.

Display
Google Nexus 5X has a 5.2-inch screen with Full HD (1080x1920p) resolution, resulting in pixel density of 424ppi. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3; notably, some other smartphones have been using Gorilla Glass 4 for quite some time.

In terms of quality, the display panel is crisp and does not suffer from pixelation. The IPS panel reproduces colours quite accurately, but if you are not happy with the colours there is no native support way to change the colour temperature.

However, there is one issue with the Nexus 5X display panel: Brightness. We found the brightness levels offered by Nexus 5X to be insufficient compared to those of other smartphones in the same price band. Fortunately, this does not affect the readability of the screen much under direct sunlight.

Hardware
Google Nexus 5X is powered by the six core Snapdragon 808 processor (four high-power 1.44GHz cores + two low-power 1.82GHz cores) that also powers the Moto X Style and LG G4 smartphones. Backing up the processor is 2 gigs of RAM, which we feel may prove insufficient, but more on that later.

The 4G-enabled smartphone has a 2,700mAh battery with fast-charging technology; but remember, this is not Qualcomm's QuickCharge 2.0 technology, even though a Qualcomm processor powers the smartphone. Also present is the USB Type C port and the compatible reversible adapter in the box, a first for a Nexus device.

On the imaging front, Nexus 5X packs a 12.3MP camera on the back and a 5MP snapper in front. For storage you can go for either the 16GB variant (Rs 31,900) or 32GB model (Rs 35,900); there is no microSD card support for storage expansion. For connectivity, you get Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC as well.

Of course, Nexus 5X is also the first Google smartphone to feature a fingerprint sensor, named Nexus Imprint.

Software
Nexus 5X is the first smartphone to be released with Android Marshmallow, the latest version of Google's mobile OS, onboard. The software brings a bunch of new features, but does not radically change the look the same way Lollipop did a year ago.

While there is not much of note on the homescreen, you will notice the app drawer/menu now has a single, long scroll instead of the multiple pages that you had to swipe through. We have seen this setup previously in old Motorola smartphones (the pre-Moto G models) and all HTC smartphones.

The Nexus 5X software has a separate tab for frequently used apps in the menu on the top, just below the search bar. This search bar is all-powerful; you can look for apps straight from this bar and if the app is not downloaded on the phone, then the menu provides the option to search for it in Ply Store.

To be clear, these features are actually part of the Android 5.1.1 build, but very smartphones have this version of Lollipop and even fewer retain the stock Android look.

Head to Android 6.0 Marshmallow's Settings menu and you will find pretty much the same stuff, but digging a little deeper reveals a few goodies. Nexus 5X has a LED notification light, but it is disabled by default; you need to go to the Sound & Notification menu in Settings and hit the Pulse Notification Light button to turn it off.

In the Apps menu, you get the option to deny or allow permissions sought by apps individually. The Memory option shows you exactly how much memory was used by apps, but doesn't allow you to control it.

Under Security, you will find the Nexus Imprint fingerprint setup; storing your fingerprint on the device is extremely easy and much faster than the process used on Samsung, OnePlus and other Android smartphones and even quicker to setup than the new iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus.

Android Marshmallow also allows you to customize the Quick Settings menu in the notifications bar.

Performance
In the week we spent with the handset, we found that Nexus 5X is not the fastest model in the market, but it is no slouch either. It gets the job done, and gets it done without a hitch. The system improvements brought about by Android 6.0 Marshmallow help the Snapdragon 808 processor and 2GB RAM to deliver a performance that is completely free of lag and glitches.

Nexus 5X handled all the apps and games we threw its way with ease, delivering a consistently smooth experience throughout. However, the smartphone starts heating up around the camera and fingerprint sensor even with casual gaming (happened to us on Relic Run).
However, we still feel that the 2GB of RAM may turn out to be insufficient in the long run (in case you plan to use your Nexus 5X for 1.5-2 years). With Android apps getting heavier in size even without 64-bit apps hitting the market, just 2GB of RAM may not be enough to handle the load. Throughout the week, we noticed that the RAM consumption stood at 1.5GB on an average, so we foresee a lot of 'Out of Memory' messages for Nexus 5X users when apps start hogging more system memory.

The 2,700mAh battery delivers a decent battery life of just over a day with moderate usage and a little under a day with heavy usage. This is a little surprising to us, since Google says its Doze and App Standby features can increase battery life by up to a hundred percent and we have seen smartphones by the likes of Samsung and LG deliver better life with the same battery capacity via software optimizations.

USB Type C, which we have also used in OnePlus 2, is pretty convenient due its backwards reversible design. The Nexus 5X smartphone supports fast-charging with the bundled charger, which charges the handset in 1 hour and 10 minutes flat (on an average after 5 tests). Sadly, the bundled charger has USB Type C connecters on both ends, which means you cannot use it to transfer data to your laptop. If you want to, you need to buy a mother USB to USB Type C cable from Google separately.

Call Your Three Favorite Contacts From The Notification Center [iOS]

iOS 9 introduced a ‘suggestions’ feature that is coupled with Spotlight search. When you swipe down to open Spotlight search, both contacts that you have recently been talking to, and apps that you recently used appear as suggestions. The feature makes it easy to revert to a ‘previous’ app making multi-tasking work better overall. Since the suggestions feature is dynamic and set to update to according to how you use your iPhone, you can’t rely on it always show the contact you want to call at a given time. Swipe Dial is a free iOS widget app that lets you add your three favorite contacts to the Notification Center and call them. You can add more than three contacts, and message and Facetime functionality with an in-app purchase.

Install the app and open it to add your three favorite contacts. The app doesn’t automatically pick up on which numbers you’ve added as favorites. The contacts you add to Swipe Dial remain independent from the favorites in the Phone app.

Once you’ve added the three numbers, open the Notification Center and switch to the Today tab to add the Swipe Dial widget.

Three contacts are reasonably enough for anyone wanting to use the app for free. It’s the message and Facetime function that might make you want to upgrade. The unlimited contacts feature isn’t going to be worth it if you want to add ten or perhaps even eight contacts because the feature is limited to how many contacts can be shown in the widget. A widget isn’t allowed to take up all the space in the Notification Center so the number of contacts you have will always be limited.

Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) release date, specs, price: features fingerprint scanning

A lot of people are already on the constant lookout for Huawei's latest flagship smartphone. Many are wondering when the phablet might be released since there are very few official details available for it. But thanks to leaks and rumors circulating around, it's not hard to get to know Nexus 6 ahead of its launch date.
According to Latino Post, the Huawei-made phablet is set to be released this September together with the LG Nexus 5 (2015). Rumors say that both models will be unveiled during a special launch event set for Sept. 29. Some sources also say that it will already come with the latest operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Nexus 6 (2015) is also most likely to sport a 5.7-inch FHD or QHD display with a fingerprint sensor located at the rear of the phone. The addition of this biometric security will not come as a surprise as it looks like the company is putting a feature that they missed to do in the previous versions. Aside from the fingerprint scanner, the phablet is rumored of having a bump close to the top of the back panel, according to Breathe Cast. The unique shape of the back is due to a protuberance attributed to the smartphone's camera assembly. The speculation became more convincing when it showed a close likeness to the leaked TPU cases that were released online last August.
With regards to its design and specs, Geek Snack reports that it will carry under the hood a Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3 GB RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. It will have a metal body and will come with USB Type-C, as well as 21MP rear camera and a 3,500 mAh battery.
Sources say that some people might be turned off with the latest smartphone's price tag. International Business Times indicated that the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) is rumored to cost around $450 to $550.

Google Fiber May Expand to Southern California and Kentucky Next

Google Fiber started five years ago as an attempt to pressure major broadband providers such as Comcast, Verizon Communications and AT&T Inc. to upgrade their networks so they run at faster speeds. Google figures it will benefit if the Internet is available at faster speeds by making online access a more enjoyable experience, increasing the chances that people will see ads at the Mountain View, California, company's search engine or its other services such as the popular YouTube video site.
Residents in San Diego, Irvine and Louisville may have to wait a year or more before finding out whether their city leaders and Google have reached an agreement to install the miles of fiber-optic needed to deliver the ultra-fast Internet service. That timetable is based on how long it has taken Google to work out the details with other communities before committing to offer the service.
Google Fiber is currently available in Kansas City, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Provo, Utah; and Austin, Texas. It's also scheduled to be come to Salt Lake City, San Antonio and 18 Southeastern cities in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Google may expand its ultra-fast Internet service into southern California and Kentucky for the first time.
The preliminary plan announced Thursday is aiming to bring the "Google Fiber" service to San Diego; Irvine, California; and Louisville, Kentucky.
Google still must work out the logistics with government leaders before reaching a final decision on whether those three cities will join 24 other U.S. cities that already have or are scheduled to get a service that promises to deliver online content at one gigabit per second. That's up to 100 times faster than existing Internet services.
Prices for Google Fiber are comparable to or below what most households already pay for Internet access. The service typically costs about $70 per month for just high-speed Internet service.
Cox Communications already has a head start on Google Fiber in Irvine and San Diego. It began selling a gigabit Internet service in some Irvine neighborhoods earlier this year and plans to introduce out a similar service in parts of San Diego later this month.

EASY ACCESS TO WIFI IN 30 SECONDS

Or rather, DON'T hack any paid WiFi hotspots, as that would be bad...

Also, don't turn your WiFi card off and then back on again after the hack to rectify any MAC address conflicts that might arise.

The commands are:

ifconfig en1 | grep ether
arp -a
sudo ifconfig en1 ether [mac address to spoof]

Note that the term "MAC address" has nothing to do with Macintosh computers. All computers, including Windows machines, have MAC addresses. This address is unique to your computer, but can be changed in software. The practice of copying someone else's MAC address is referred to as "spoofing". Spoofing a MAC address can get you through any MAC address filter, like the ones used by public WiFi hotspots.

Step 1: Recon the Network

* Connect to the WiFi network you wish to access.  It must be "public" in the sense that it's not encrypted with WPA or WEP.  Virtually all paid WiFi hotspots are public, relying on MAC address filtering to control access.  The MAC address filter is easily defeated, as shown below.

* Launch Terminal.

* Check your own MAC address:

ifconfig en1 | grep ether

* See who else is on the network:

arp -a

* Select the address of some machine on the network, and Command-C that shit.

Samsung Galaxy S6 mini on its way

Right now i think the music playing in the ears of the SAMSUNG DEVELPERS IS "I JUST CANT GET ENOUGH"It looks like Samsung is continuing its regular trait and working on a mini version of its flagship Galaxy S6. Alleged photos of the Galaxy S6 Mini have surfaced in a new leak.

As per the leaked images, the mini version looks similar to the original Galaxy S6 in case of design. The exact screen size is not known, but the S6 mini could have a 4.6 or 4.7 inch screen and a have a 720p display. Nokia plans comeback

Nokia is hiring software experts as we speak with the aim of testing new products and as well seeking sales partners as the institute plots its huge return to the mobile phone and consumer tech party which has been left behind for a while now.

Nokia was Once the world's biggest maker of mobile phones, the Finnish firm was wrongfooted by the rise of smartphones and eclipsed by Apple and Samsung as well as the HTC corporation . As at late 2013  Nokia sold its handset business to Microsoft and has since focused squarely on making telecoms network equipment and lots more.

Now Nokia boss Rajeev Suri is planning a comeback, a wonderful one at that. He must wait until late 2016 before he can consider re-entering the handset business - after a non-compete deal with Microsoft expires - but preparations are underway anyway.

The company has already dipped its toe into the consumer market; it has launched an Android tablet, the N1, which went on sale in January in China and days ago unveiled a "virtual-reality camera" - heralding it as the "rebirth of Nokia".

It has also launched an Android app called Z Launcher, which organises content on smartphones, more arranged and orderly,
Meanwhile its technologies division has advertised on LinkedIn dozens of jobs in California, many in product development, including Android engineers specializing in the operating software Nokia mobile devices will use.

Nokia had also planned to lay off about 70 people at the division, according to a May announcement, but a company source told Reuters that the figure had since been halved.

We should wait and see the progress indeed, its worth it because i see light at the end of the tunnel
