Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) release date, specs, price: features fingerprint scanning

A lot of people are already on the constant lookout for Huawei's latest flagship smartphone. Many are wondering when the phablet might be released since there are very few official details available for it. But thanks to leaks and rumors circulating around, it's not hard to get to know Nexus 6 ahead of its launch date.
According to Latino Post, the Huawei-made phablet is set to be released this September together with the LG Nexus 5 (2015). Rumors say that both models will be unveiled during a special launch event set for Sept. 29. Some sources also say that it will already come with the latest operating system, the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
The Nexus 6 (2015) is also most likely to sport a 5.7-inch FHD or QHD display with a fingerprint sensor located at the rear of the phone. The addition of this biometric security will not come as a surprise as it looks like the company is putting a feature that they missed to do in the previous versions. Aside from the fingerprint scanner, the phablet is rumored of having a bump close to the top of the back panel, according to Breathe Cast. The unique shape of the back is due to a protuberance attributed to the smartphone's camera assembly. The speculation became more convincing when it showed a close likeness to the leaked TPU cases that were released online last August.
With regards to its design and specs, Geek Snack reports that it will carry under the hood a Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3 GB RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. It will have a metal body and will come with USB Type-C, as well as 21MP rear camera and a 3,500 mAh battery.
Sources say that some people might be turned off with the latest smartphone's price tag. International Business Times indicated that the Huawei Nexus 6 (2015) is rumored to cost around $450 to $550.

Google Fiber May Expand to Southern California and Kentucky Next

Google Fiber started five years ago as an attempt to pressure major broadband providers such as Comcast, Verizon Communications and AT&T Inc. to upgrade their networks so they run at faster speeds. Google figures it will benefit if the Internet is available at faster speeds by making online access a more enjoyable experience, increasing the chances that people will see ads at the Mountain View, California, company's search engine or its other services such as the popular YouTube video site.
Residents in San Diego, Irvine and Louisville may have to wait a year or more before finding out whether their city leaders and Google have reached an agreement to install the miles of fiber-optic needed to deliver the ultra-fast Internet service. That timetable is based on how long it has taken Google to work out the details with other communities before committing to offer the service.
Google Fiber is currently available in Kansas City, Kansas; Kansas City, Missouri; Provo, Utah; and Austin, Texas. It's also scheduled to be come to Salt Lake City, San Antonio and 18 Southeastern cities in Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina.

Google may expand its ultra-fast Internet service into southern California and Kentucky for the first time.
The preliminary plan announced Thursday is aiming to bring the "Google Fiber" service to San Diego; Irvine, California; and Louisville, Kentucky.
Google still must work out the logistics with government leaders before reaching a final decision on whether those three cities will join 24 other U.S. cities that already have or are scheduled to get a service that promises to deliver online content at one gigabit per second. That's up to 100 times faster than existing Internet services.
Prices for Google Fiber are comparable to or below what most households already pay for Internet access. The service typically costs about $70 per month for just high-speed Internet service.
Cox Communications already has a head start on Google Fiber in Irvine and San Diego. It began selling a gigabit Internet service in some Irvine neighborhoods earlier this year and plans to introduce out a similar service in parts of San Diego later this month.
